Aftercare

Thank you for visiting our salon, for best results we recommend the following aftercare.

If you have any questions after your treatment please do not hesitate to ask. If irritation occurs apply a cold compress to the area. If it persists seek medical advice.

WAXING & THREADING

  • No Hot baths or showers (only lukewarm water)
  • No Saunas, Hot Tubs, Massages or Steam Treatment
  • No Tanning (Sunbathing, sun beds or fake tan)
  • No Sport, Gym work or other exercise
  • Avoid touching or scratching the area with unwashed hands
  • Wear Clean loose fitting clothing
  • No Make up to the area
  • No Fragranced products to the area

All of the above are for 24 – 48 hours after your treatment

After this time period has past begin to exfoliate 2 times a week and moisturise everyday up until you next appointment. (Excluding facial waxing) Do not shave in between appointments. If the area stings, swells or is irritated apply a cold compress, if it persists seek medical advice.

TINTING / LASH LIFT

  • Avoid sunbathing as this can fade the tint
  • Avoid putting contact lenses back in for the rest of the day
  • Avoid heat treatments
  • Do not apply make up to the area
  • Do not touch the area
  • Avoid swimming / getting area wet

All of the above are for 24 – 48 hours after your treatment

Sun/UV can fade tint faster. Lashes will last around 4-6 weeks and brows will last between 2-4 weeks all depending on hair growth and exposure to UV. Lashes should be brushed through daily and lift effects should last 6-8 weeks. If the area stings, swells or is irritated apply a cold damp cotton pad to the area, if it persists seeks medical advice.

NAILS

  • Apply Cuticle Oil Daily
  • Wear Gloves when washing up, cleaning or using any chemicals
  • Avoid keeping hands or toes submerged in water as best you can
  • Do not pick or bite your nails
  • Do not use them as tools for opening cans etc
  • Avoid intense heat for 24 hours
  • Ensure they’re removed professionally
  • If lifting occurs do not pick the nails off as this will cause damage to your natural nail
  • Keep hands and feet moisturised to avoid skin becoming dry
  • Nails should be maintained between every 2-3 weeks. Make sure you have booked your next appointment in.

SPRAY TAN

  • Do not exercise before you have washed your tan off
  • Avoid getting wet before you are ready to wash off your tan
  • Leave your tan on for 1 hour for a light sun kissed glow
  • Leave your tan on for 2 hours for a median golden glow
  • Leave your tan on for 3 hours for a deep darker bronzed tan
  • Some minimal guide colour may transfer to fabric. This will wash out if cotton but not so easily from man made fibres or wool
  • To prolong your tan make sure you’re moisturising your body everyday
  • Avoid rubbing your skin when you shower or bath simply pat dry
  • Avoid swimming pools with chlorine as this can cause your tan to fade faster
  • CARRY ON WEARING SUN SCREEN! Tan does not have any SPF in and it’s so important to protect your body!
  • Use a scrub when you’re ready for the tan to start fading to ensure it fades evenly

MASSAGE

  • Drink plenty of water after your massage this helps with flushing our toxins and keeping your hydrated
  • Avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol 12 hours after your massage as these have dehydration properties
  • Avoid strenuous activity for as long as possible to gain maximum relaxation
  • Try and leave the oils on your body for as long as possible to gain maximum hydration, the smell will also help with relaxation
  • You may experience heightened emotions, you may feel like you need to cry etc. This is very normal.
  • You may experience flu like symptoms while your body is flushing out toxins. This will pass.
  • You may feel sleepy and fatigued due to being relaxed
  • You may experience some erythema (redness of the skin) this is just wear there is an increased blood supply from removing toxins
  • Massages work best when they’re booked often, make sure you book in your next massage promptly to ensure maximum results.

FACIAL

  • Drink plenty of water after your facial this helps with flushing our toxins and keeping your hydrated
  • Avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol 12 hours after your facial as these have dehydration properties
  • Avoid strenuous activity for as long as possible to gain maximum relaxation
  • Try and leave the products on your face for as long as possible to gain maximum hydration, the smell will also help with relaxation
  • Carry on with any advice you received in your treatment with regards to your skin. How often you should exfoliate, products you should be using etc.
  • You may feel sleepy and fatigued due to being relaxed
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Do not shave, wax or thread the face for 24 hours after a facial
  • Facials work great when they’re regular, make sure you have booked in your next facial.
